Our new Wiki offers you the ability to mark content or pages which require work, similar to Wikipedia and other Wikis. Although you are free to update pages, sometimes you do not have the time or all the information required to complete the task.
When to Mark Content
Whenever you find content or pages that are out of date, missing information or need work, you can easily mark the content or page according to the data that is missing or requires work. This serves two purposes:
- The page is automatically tagged and added to our Wiki ToDo Lists, which allows the Docs Group and all Wiki contributors to see what pages and content require work.
- Pages, sections or specific content, are visually marked in a standard format so that users can easily see what content is currently outdated or incomplete.
How to Mark Content
You may mark a page, section or specific content to add an image, by using one of the Mark Content templates:
- Position your cursor where the content or page needs work:
- page - insert at the top of the page if the entire page needs work.
- section - insert at the top of the section, beneath the section heading, if only one section needs work.
- text - insert in the text where specific content needs work.
- In the Editor, select the Template button.
- From the drop down Templates box, select the appropriate template.
- For a page or section - delete either the page or section text in the template box, and add a note to the box about what content needs work.
- For text copy the text or image into the template box - insert the template first, then cut and paste the text.
- If you make a mistake - Cancel/undo - CTRL+Z to cancel, or the Undo (back arrow) on Edit Menu, and insert the template again correctly.
- If further discussion or elaboration is required, you may add it to the related Talk page - Wiki Menu > More > Talk Page.
Note: Tags will automatically be inserted. DON'T DELETE these tags as they are used to auto generate our ToDo Lists.
