What is the development state of MediaPortal 2?

MediaPortal 2 is still under development. The core system is finished and stable. The available Alpha release is the first public version.There are already more new features planned for future releases.

What system requirements does MediaPortal 2 have?

MediaPortal 2 is developed to run on modern operating systems and supports only Windows 7 in both 32 and 64 bit versions. Older operating systems are not supported.

You need the most current DirectX 9 runtime installed, which you can download here: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en...ang=en&id=8109 (June 2010).

An up-to-date PC (min. 2 GHz, min. 2 GB Ram) will work fine, in general, if your PC is able to run MediaPortal 1 well, it will be good for MediaPortal 2 as well.

MediaPortal 2 works on a single PC as well as on different PCs in a home network.
