Music Views
For this section to function correctly, songs need to be tagged properly using ID3 or similar.
The default 'shares' view will not allow albums to be viewed in order of track numbers without 'switching views' from within Mediaportal. You need to use another view for this sorting to function.
In the image below, 'Mediaportal - Setup', the 'Selection:artist' with the 'Operator:group' and 'Restriction:1' will organise the artists in alphabetical folders (ie. folder A=all artists beginning with A). If this is not the preferred method of viewing, delete the line by typing D into the 'Act' column and pressing 'Save'. The same will hold true for all other views as listed in the box above 'Name Or Localized Code:'. 
The way in which your music collection is displayed within MediaPortal can be altered through this window.

Example: This example will use the ?AlbumArtist view as the default view within Mediaportal. It is crucial the song tags are setup as detailed in the image below. Note the highlighted column '?AlbumArtist'.
Within 'Mediaportal Config\Music\Music Views', change the 'View:' box as detailed in image below.
The results are as shown below:
For Artist's cover art to be visible you need to paste the artwork into the 'Thumbs\Music\Artists' folder. The location will vary depending on the Operating System.
For Album's cover art to be visible you need to paste the artwork into the 'Thumbs\Music\Albums' folder. The location will vary depending on the Operating System.
