MPInstaller

The MPinstaller was developed to help you install extensions, skins and other add-ons for MediaPortal.

Suppose you want the logos of your country's TV-channels, or a new game or want to sing along to your favorite tune. A lot of people have made extensions to give MediaPortal extra functionality.

To create a new extention visit the create extension page

Create a new package, lets you create your own extension
Install a new package, lets you install your extension
Control panel, gives you an overview of all your extensions
Check for updates, check if there are new versions of your installed extensions

Installing Extensions

Extensions Tab

Uninstall
- Pressing this button will allow you to uninstall your extension.
Update
- Will update your extension.
Reinstall
- Will reinstall your extension, and will remove all the settings of the extension and start with the default ones.
Download & Install
- Instead of downloading a extension manually in your browser, you can use the MPinstaller to automatically download and install extensions
Load online list
- Downloads the list of available extensions
Filter
- Lets you filter the list of extensions you see on your screen to search for specific extensions.
View
- Changes the view of the list of extensions
Close
- Close, closes the MPinstaller window
