Creating Dumps of RAW Transport Stream

• For debugging it is required sometimes to have dumps of the RAW Transport Stream.
• These dumps can be created with TV-Server.

How it works:

1. create a file C:\dumprawts.txt

2. start timeshifting (SetupTV->Manual control)

   • Besides the normal 2 timeshifting files there will be a file named rawpaketdump.ts in the same directory as the timeshift files.

   • Be aware that this file increases very quickly in size since it contains the whole transponder !

   • The rawpaketdump.ts file gets overwritten if you stop timeshift and start it again.

3. stop the dump creation by deleting the C:\dumprawts.txt

   • You don't have to stop the tvservice.

   • The existance of the C:\dumprawts.txt file is checked everytime a timeshift starts.

Providing the RAW Transport Stream data to the team

• Use the following filename template for the files being uploaded. This is a requirement. Files that have different naming convention will be deleted!

• [country]_[broadcaster]_[frequency]_[typeT/S/C]_[tuned_channel]_[FTA_or_scrambled].ts

• [country]_[broadcaster]_[frequency]_[typeT/S/C]_[tuned_channel]_[FTA_or_scrambled].txt

• txt file should be used to describe the issue that you are seeing and a URL to the forum post.
