The DiSEqC ((Digital Satellite Equipment Control) protocol enables a satellite-receiver (or tuner-card in HTPCs) to communicate to another device via the signal-carrying coax-cable to a multi-switch, an antenna-positioner etc.

The main-purpose is to switch between different LNBs or position an antenna to different satellite positions.
