In this first Alpha release there are 3 Skins included: the "default", "Rising Skin" and "Reflexion". Each skin can provide different themes:

Default skin

The default skin supplied with the Alpha release is intentionally kept in a simple look and feel. This should allow skinners to see a simple working skin, so they can do own modifications on this base.

In contrast to MP1, the MP2 user interface is mainly based on vector graphics and uses less images. To get an optimal look, anti-aliasing (AA) is enabled at maximum level. For low end systems the AA can be disabled under Settings->Appearance->GUI antialiasing.

The BlackBackdrop Plugin

Extensions and modifications of skins can be done using plugins. The "Black Backdrop" plugin provides 4 different themes for the default skin. Main changes are the use of backdrop images for the main menu items, or to change the main menu layout to horizontal (Black backdrop 2 and 3D gadgets).

Rising Skin
