MediaPortal 2 is the next generation version of MediaPortal, still under development. After some design studies and prototypes, we're now working at the final version. The system was rewritten from scratch, reusing and re-evaluating the best ideas from MediaPortal and creating a completely new codebase. The basic goals for this project are stability, flexibility, consistence and extensibility.

Currently, the system is still under development. We have made good progress, but the job is a very big one. So it will still take time to have a working version.

As we develop, our Wiki will contain more and more information on MediaPortal 2.
