Grabbers currently supported by My Films.
Introduction
MyFilms provides many grabber scripts you can use to grab data from your favorite movie website. See Grabber Scripts for an overview. You can copy them and customize them to suit your needs using the Grabber Script Editor , or even Create a Grabber script.
The best way to decide which grabber to use, is to use the Grabber Editor to test different grabbers and compare the results, see Test a Grabber,
Supported Grabbers
The following table lists the grabbers currently supported by My Films
Notes:
- Grabber name - displays within My Films GUI whenever a list of grabbers displays
- File name - grabber scripts are stored in the MediaPortal user/program data folder e.g.
C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\scripts\MyFilms
- Source/site - the website(s) or source of the data or images
- Language - the same language codes you can use in Update Setup to filter the grabbers you wish to use (e.g. en for English)
- Type -
- details - grabs info/details
- multi-site - grabs details from multiple websites, or data from one website and cover from another
- person images - grabs images for actors and other persons such as directors, producers, writers, etc.
- person - grabs person info/details
- cover - grabs cover as well - cover type grabbers can be used to grab covers in Cover Manager as well
- multicovers - can be used in Cover Manager to grab multiple covers for a film
- fanart - also grabs fanart if fanart is enabled in Artwork Setup - (although importing data in My Films grabs fanart from TMDb for any grabber selected)
- trailers - can also be used to grab and add trailers to your catalog/database
