Background
When using the MPEinstaller (MPEI) to browse and update extensions, you usually 'Download online update info' to refresh the list of extensions and latest versions.
Answer
When you 'Download online update info', if you receive a message "Error: The File Exists" this usually means data in your %temp% folder has been corrupted, usually due to a failed or bad internet connection.
Just delete the files in your %temp% folder and 'Download online update info' again.
