Single Seat Setup

Single seat setup

In a single seat setup, the TV-Server application and MediaPortal are installed on the same PC.

Requirements

MediaPortal - singleseat installation
Microsoft SQL Server Express or MySQL 5 (will be installed by MediaPortal if not present!)
TV-Card(s)
Plus all general MediaPortal requirements

Single server setup

Network Setup - one TV-Server

In this setup, there is one dedicated TV-Server and one or more MediaPortal clients.

Requirements server PC

MediaPortal - dedicated TV-Server installation
Microsoft SQL Server Express or MySQL 5 (will be installed by MediaPortal if not present!)
TV-Cards
Network card
