Press F9 or the Info/More button on your remote twice (once for the OSD then again to display a menu of actions you can perform in fullscreen TV).

TV Guide

Selecting the TV Guide option from the Actions menu will jump directly to your TV Guide.

Teletext

Launches the Teletext window in fullscreen with a semi transparent background.

Change Aspect Ratio

If the TV image is broadcast in a format that does not fit your screen you can adjust it by changing the aspect ratio. You can select the default aspect ratio and which ratios that should be available for selection in the Actions menu at Configuration > TV > TV Zoom.

The different options works just like the Video Zoom Modes.

Audio Language

If the TV channel is broadcast with more than one audio language or stream you may select it while watching TV. Just select the Audio Language option from the Actions Menu and then select the stream you wish to use.

Audio Dual Mono Mode

This option is only visible if AudioDualMono mode switching is enabled in Configuration Tools > MP Configuration > TV > TV-Client > Audio Settings.
Some TV channels are broadcast with two different mono audio tracks at the same time (making it stereo) simply by playing one in the left speaker channel and one in the right. Normally MediaPortal will play both audio tracks at once making a big mess since each channel most likely contains a different spoken language audio track. By enabling Audio Dual Mono Mode it's possible to select one audio track and play it on both speakers.
You can select between:

Stereo
Only left channel (played in both left and right speaker)
Only right channel (played in both left and right speaker)

Mix both channels

Subtitle

This option is only visible if subtitle support is enabled and MediaPortal detects subtitles in the TV stream.
If your live or recorded TV program supports subtitles or closed captions, the Actions Menu will include a subtitle option. Select it to display the subtitles menu:

The last chosen subtitle is now remembered when changing channels or stopping/restarting playback.

Closed Captions (CC)

CC availability depends on a number of factors such as the tuner card's capability to encode the CC data to the video stream and the codec chosen in the TV Codecs section in Configuration > Codecs and Renderer. When CC are available they will be displayed on the Subtitle menu.

Crop Settings

If none of the aspect ratio options meet your needs, you may choose to 'crop' the image on your screen. You might also want to crop the image to hide video artefacts like in the example below.

Notice how the image is centered after cropping the top 48 pixels which results in black bars both on top and bottom. This is due to the selected Video Zoom mode which is set to Normal in this case. There would be no black bars if zoom mode was set to Strech. Cropping does not apply to the zoom mode Original.

Program Info

Shows the list of upcoming episodes for the program. This is the same window as the one that displays when you select a program in the TV Guide. You can select an episode to record, as well as all the recording options available in Schedule Recordings.

Tuning Details

Displays technical information about the TV stream.

RTSP URL:	The name of the stream that the client has connected to.	Band:
Band width:		Channel type:	Channel standard of the current channel.
Country id:		Free to air?:	Displays whether the channel is unencrypted or not.
Frequency:	Frequency of the transponder that the channel is transmitted on. There is possibly several channels on one frequency.	Inner fec rate:	Forward error correction. Used by DVB-S.
Modulation:	Also known as QAM.	NetworkId:	The ID of the network that originally broadcast the service.
PcrPid:	Program Clock Reference Packet ID. Used to sync the audio and video.	PmtPid:	Program Map Table Packet ID.
AudioPid:	The Packet ID of the audio streams on the current channel.	VideoPid:	The Packet ID of the video streams on the current channel.
Polarisation:	Horizontal or vertical. Used by DVB-S.	ServiceId:	Identifies a service within the transport stream.
Symbol rate:	Also known as baud or modulation rate. The number of symbol changes (waveform changes or signalling events) made to the transmission medium per second.	TransportId:	Identifies a particular transport stream from the network.
CI Menu supported:	The TV cards ability to read a subscription card for watching encrypted channels.
Signal level:	Indicates how strong the signal is that the TV card receives. This value is not always correctly displayed, depending on the hardware and driver.	Signal quality:	Indicates how good the signal is that your tv card receives. This value is not always correctly displayed, depending on the hardware and driver.

Record Now

Starts a recording of the current program.

Open CI Menu

This option is only visible when you have a Common Interface[ (CI)|Common_Interface] installed.

If you use a card with Common Interface (CI) with your CAM and smart card installed then you must enable the CAM (see the Edit Tuner Settings section) in order to be able to watch encrypted channels.

IMDB

If your EPG Guide data does not contain all the information you wish, you can look up further details using the IMDb movie lookup. MediaPortal will query IMDb based on the title in your TV Guide and if the movie or TV show is found, it will display an information window:
