Message Plugin

Using the Message Plugin for MP1.2 you can make MediaPortal respond to messages from applications such as EventGhost or Girder. A variety of devices, that's not directly supported by MediaPortal, can be connected and used for navigation. For example:

• All kinds of infrared or RF remotes
• Joystick and gamepad
• Touch phone
• Network Communication (TCP or UDP)
• Directory Watcher
• Process Watcher
• Webserver
• Ping
• Timer or schedule
• Sunset and Sunrise
• Serial Port (RS232)
• Voice control

Automatically play a video once a new file appears in a folder. Automatically close MediaPortal when another software is launched. Start playing music if your router stops replying to ping. Turn on a slide show when the sun sets. Everything is possible!
