Many common remotes are supported out of the box in MediaPortal. All you have to do is select the remote you wish to use and you can begin to use it with the default settings. However, you can decide which keys you want to use for which actions, or program keys to perform additional actions, to make navigation in MediaPortal even easier.

The vision of the MediaPortal project is to create a free open source media centre application, which supports all advanced media centre functions, and is accessible to all Windows users.
