The Top Bar can be set to autohide or display by the skin you are using. However, you can override the skin settings by configuring the Topbar Plugin

Disable Top Bar

To disable the topbar completely, just disable the plugin like you would any other plugin, by selecting the Topbar plugin and pressing the disable button:

Configure the Top bar in the MediaPortal Configuration Tool, under Plugins > Topbar

• Override skin "AutoHide" setting - Default: off
• Autohide (available if Override skin  "AutoHide" setting is selected)
• Timeout - Default: 15 sec
