Music Ripping

Overview

These settings, on the Music Ripping screen, allow you to specify the parameters for ripping music CDs.

Rip Settings

• Replace existing files - Default: on
• Import into database - Default: on
• Don't import unknown tracks to database - Default: off
• Background import - Default: off
• Library folder - Default: C: - if you want to rip directly to your Music folder then change this!
• Performance - Default: Better response

Custom Paths and Filenames

• Format - Default: %artist%\%album%\%track% %title% - determines how the 'ripped' files will be named

Encoder Settings

• Encoding mode - Default: Quality
  • Bitrate
  • Quality
  • Mono encoding - Default: off
• Quality - Default: 190 kBps
  • Fast mode (less quality) - Default: off
