While watching TV or videos, you can get information on the currently watched item by opening either the TV On-Screen Display or the Video On-Screen Display

    On-Screen-Display

    • Display timeout (sec.) - Default: 0
The time after which the OSD should automatically disappear. A value of 0 means the OSD has to be turned off manually.

    Zap On-Screen-Display

To speed up channel-surfing, MediaPortal offers a Zap-OSD.

    • Zap delay (sec.) - Default: 2
The time between actually changing the channel, and the hiding of the Zap-OSD.
    • Zap timeout (sec.) - Default: 5
This is how long the Zap-OSD waits after you select a channel, before actually changing to that channel. This allows you to read the description and optionally continue zapping to another channel.

Note: Program start notification has moved to  Configuration > TV > TV Client > Notifier in MP version 1.1.0
