This section is only visible in expert mode.

The File menu allows you to move delete or rename files and folders from within MediaPortal.

If file menu is enabled, you can use the "i" button on the Microsoft MCE remote or use the context menu to go to the file menu.

From there you can move, delete and rename files and folders from within the MediaPortal screen.

Enable File Menu - Default: on
Pincode - Default: <empty>

Protect the file menu with a pin code

Protecting the file menu with a pin code is useful if you don't want other people using MediaPortal to delete or move files from your computer from within MediaPortal itself. You may wish to protect your files during a party with some friends, or prevent your children from deleting files from you computer.
